Golden Sands Primary School

Golden Sands Primary School is located on a Greenfield site in Papamoa.  The build consisted of 10 classrooms, an administration building, a multi-purpose building and a library resource centre.

This project commenced in January 2010 and was completed in December 2010. With a contract value of $6.5 million, the project was completed on time and to budget.

This project is the first Single Line of Accountability project which has been undertaken by the Ministry of Education in the Bay of Plenty. The confidence in Marra Construction’s ability to successfully manage design and build projects from start to finish is highlighted by our selection for this pilot project by the Ministry of Education.

This project was designed to meet a 5 Star Green rating.
